Gronk's Getting Surgery

You may have followed Gronk's story now for some time. He came to us August of 2024 with FIP. He was paralyzed and quite critical. Over the course of his treatment we were able to get him back to almost 100% mobility. He was then returned to his owners. Unfortunately it did not work out there and he came back paralyzed again within 8 months.

He was treated for FIP again with no progress. We spoke with many FIP experts and tried a few different medications. We ended up getting a CT scan- which in turn showed his previous diagnosis of fip- has now caused Hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain). The only treatment for this is to place a shunt into his brain to allow that fluid to drain. Without this Gronk's brain will continue to deteriorate and he will eventually die, unable to have had the chance to walk again

This is Gronk's last hope of ever living a normal life again. This is all he has. He has been with us now since last summer (again). Erica's dad has worked with him endlessly, every single day, like you would not imagine. We just want him to be able to walk again and live a normal life.
